Len O'Connor, 80, of Northbrook, passed away March 3, 2010. He fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 29, 1929 in Chicago. Len was the beloved and devoted husband of Nancy (nee Rhodes), his best friend and loving and devoted wife. He is survived by his dear brother, Alan (Diane), dear sisters in law and brothers in law, Jane Brenders, Clarence Rhodes, Mary Wurster, Earl (Esther) Rhodes, June Deitke and the late Shirley Rhodes. Loving uncle of Kevin (Kristen Bailey) O'Connor, Greg (Dorothy) O'Connor, Karyn (Alex) Sotiriades, Paul Brenders, Michael Brenders, James (Gloria) Brenders, Kevin Brenders, Ellen (George) Cowgill, Barbara (Ron) Unger, Dan Rhodes, Deborah (John) Rumery, Dale (Rena) Rhodes, Cathy (Rick) Varela, Bette (Larry) Beachy, James (Patricia) Rhodes, Joseph (Michelle) Deitke, Richard Deitke, Karen (Stephen) Rochford, Randy (Debbie) Deitke, Kimberley Deitke and the late Tommy Brenders; great uncle of many. He was a graduate of Loyola Academy and Loyola University; U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Infantry Korean War Veteran; 41 year employee of A.M.
